Short and Sweet in Texas has organised a 30 day challenge for April. As much as I would love to participate every day it’s not going to be possible for me right now so I’m just going to participate as and when I can (especially on the days where there’s a technique I want to try!) I hope to do a mani for this challenge 2 or 3 times a week.
Anyway, my first entry for it is on day 4, with the theme of green. I love mint green but have never been a huge fan of other shades of this colour on my nails.
I decided to try a plaid design as plaid is one of the very first designs I attempted when I got into nail art. It wasn’t particularly successful the first time round and I was hoping my skills had improved. It’s still a challenging design to get looking really good – keeping all the lines straight and parallel is still a bit beyond my skill level.
It’s one to come back to in another six months and see if I can master it after even more practice!!!
I used: Keep Calm Paint On – China Glaze, Def Defying – China Glaze, Don’t Mess With OPI – OPI, Pearly Peacock – Kiko.
You did a great job π I love the color combination – it’d be great for St. Patrick’s!
Yeah, I realised that after I finished it – just a couple of weeks too late!
Oh well, it’s still very spring appropriate π
I LOVE your design, great job!
Thanks! π
